Edinburgh
Oh the frustration of having no computer of your own and so not being able to blog when you want to!! This is a snatched 2 minutes at the end of work...have to rush off.
Was privilaged enough to be in Edinburgh at the weekend for the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY G8 rally. It was madness...I was there with work so it was a long long drive up there, working friday night, up 5am to work on saturday(the World Vision t-shirts, whistles and foam hands were, I thiknk, the most in-demand thing at the whole event - apart from Gael Garcia Bernal who is spelt all wrong but truly beautiful!), bed late saturday and then a long drive back on sunday. But it truly was an experience...about 250,000 people of all nationality, colour, age and religion all together to say that poverty is stupid. I didn't have much time to soak it all in when it was happening (I didn't have time to shed an exhaustion fuelled tear of privilege until the coach journey home!), but it was really all very good. Here's hoping it makes a difference.
xXx
p.s. sorry about the appallaing spelling/typing/writing..I am really very tired and really very rushed! Back soon...!!
