Happy Christmas

Hello, just to quickly wish you a Happy Christmas. Have a wonderful time and, as Tiny Tim would say, God Bless'em, ev'ry one (or something along those lines).
If tomorrow you've collapsed on the sofa having eaten way too much, or even if you haven't, there's a Challenge Anneka tsunami anniversary special on TV (in conjunction with World Vision in Sri Lanka). Boxing Day evening, 8pm on ITV1 I think. Should be definitely worth watching. Look out for my colleague Chris who I think issues the challenge, cries at the end, and worked his backside off to get this off the ground...well done Chris.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS :o)

Tagged

I've been tagged by Ryan (who's just got engaged by the way, congrats again Ryan!!). So, five things you may not know about me:

1. When I was a baby I had a big reddish birthmark (called a strawberry mark) on the side of my chin. It's faded now but if you look closely you can still see it.

2. My hair used to be so long that I could sit on it.

3. I once got marooned on a desert island in the Caribbean during a tropical storm.

4. I was a vegetarian for nine years.

5. I have an orange rabbit called Princess Satsuma (or Suma for short, and Su for shortest.)

And now I tag Esther, Ally, Alex, Sarah and Jason (so I hope you're paying attention guys!!).

TAKE2 blog

I'm sorry, this is an unashamed plug for a new and temporary blog set up by World Vision's TAKE2 project around the issue of HIV and AIDS in developing countries. It's at http://take2diary.blogspot.com - please have a look and leave a comment if you feel so inclined (people are reading but being shy with the comments so far!).
Thank you my lovelies...

Happy Advent: and it is happy, because I've just returned from a week in Devon (the beach chalet at Lee Abbey) and feel much more relaxed and ready for the last stretch towards Christmas. I love the place, and this year it was a time of dogs and goats, card games and poker chips, cream teas and lots of rainbows strewn across grey skies so beautiful they made you want to cry. There's some images on Flickr (not all of them mine by rights...I still have no digital camera so get by with my mobile phone and the kindness of others!).
I also turned 25. Slightly scary, but I'm coping. Had a lovely birthday week (longer actually, I am the queen of stretching out my birthday. Was treated to a rare treat when Rach, Lam AND Bri visited on the same weekend (we missed you Esther!) - more images to be found on Flickr. A lot of my birthday pics (taken on Nick's camera) turned out a reddy orange colour. I have no idea why this happened, but I suppose it's novel.
Got to go...by the way - download a free Advent Screensaver here (based around the issue of HIV and AIDS in developing countries but more informative than depressing.)
Take care for now
