the whole world wide web

I found this piece interesting - especially the part about bloggers in Africa airing their views about the Live8 concerts as they were happening. So many lives and stories and situations entwined in this big thing called the world wide web - how cut off and isolated would we all feel if the whole thing went down tomorrow?! Anyway, check out the article here

Trade Justice - 2nd November

Just to say that if you're free and in London on the 2nd November - come to Westminster for the mass trade justice lobby. If you want, you can register to talk to your local MP about trade justice (www.tjm.org.uk), if you don't want to do that but want to show your support - head up to Westminster anyway to see what's going on and increase numbers! Should be tv crews around, especially around 1pm ish. If you can't make it - you could always to go to the TJM website and vote for trade justice (it takes 30 seconds)now, or go to the MAKEPOVERTYHISTORY website (www.makepovertyhistory.org.uk) and email Tony Blair/your MP about it.

R.I.P Nigel

It is with regret that I write this small obituary. Nigel the rat is no more. He succumbed to his little coughs and sneezes in (we think) the early hours of this morning. It can't be said that he led a "happy" life as such, but he certainly left an impression (the scars at least will live on forever) on us all. His one regret must simply have been that he didn't quite make it to his retirement home (just two days short), that place where all animals hope one day to end up - Yorkshire. Tis a sad day indeed, R.I P Nigel da rat.

warren street...rabbit. Get it?

Well, the party came and went. Don't you just hate it when it's party time and you're not in a party mood??! I had a good time anyway, and I think everyone else did...and it was lovely to see the girlies again! I was VERY tired after the weekend...which I think explains it's demise on sunday night! Sunday night was the night I found myself inserted myself into a bad Wes Craven horror film. It was hilarious (ask my parents...and Rachel and Simon..and Sarah..), and also slightly traumatising (and very blonde)! I won't go into details...but there was an extra phone line, a hacksaw, a soup ladle, my bemused next door neighbour and hammer involved (hey it's one of those stories where you make up the details yourself...like a creative thinking workshop!). And now I'm very tired and can't be bothered to say much more...so I\m going to go. Adieu.
